April 17th Sesh and Carvboarding

Yesterday, there was ment to be a slide jam in Sunshine so Khan and I went down to check it out. After skating the Sunshine bowl we found that the slide jam was cancelled due to overcast conditions. So we went surfing. fter surfing we decided to check if hill climb was good to skate. We ran into my downhiller friends from Gympie there, whaich was awesome because I haven't seen them in a while. We were a little too late and they were leaving, one of them was cool enough to take us to the top for a run.
Up top we ran into Lachlan, a guy I met about a week ago at hill climb. We raced for the first run and we were expecting to have to walk back up to the top but Lachlans dad was awesome enough to drive us up for a few runs. THANKS MICK!
At the Sunshine bowl, my Dad, our friend Toon, Khan and I were all skating. My family has known Pat Rafter for years, nd my dad ran into him at the bowl with a carveboard. He decided to lend us his carveboard which was SICK.
As soon as we got back to my place we took it out and hit some of the hills on my property. Since the carveboard has tyres we're able to ride grass and gravel.
It was a pretty awesome day.

Photos from The Making of Hybrid 35 Freestyle

I was digging around in my files today and i found some old photos from the red light shoot back when we made Hybrid 35 Freestyle, so I thought I would do a post on them. The story was; I was at a garage sale and I saw this red floodlight for $5, and imediately I thought of shooting at night with it on for a cool shot. I bought it. Later that week, my friend Khan was over and it had just got dark, so we decided to shoot. First we did a photo shoot, with my sister nailing some speed blurs.

Then we started shooting. Khan was behind the camera, with my sister getting some behind the scenes shots.

All in all, it was a pretty good night that turned out in some great footage. Don't forget to check out the footage you just read about in our video, Hybrid 35 Freestyle.

New Rider- Callum Tobutt

Callum is a stoked skater from Newcastle, NSW. He's in the process of getting sponsored by Original and should be, this guy's style will get on an Apex faster then Adam Colton can say 'spidermonkey'. We're stoked to have Callum on the team and look forward to more videos from him soon. Callum's currently riding a Bustin Sojourn, but has an Apex 37 in his sights.
