Stupid Rain... And an Update!

Whats up longboarders, the rain is PELTING down at the moment and ruling out any skateboarding so session description- NONE. We are hoping it will dry up this Sunday though because there's a downhill race at our local hill, its blocked off to cars and super awesome. This hill is where we shot Longboarding Noosa Hill Climb and its remake. The video will be up soon, the quality just went bad so I'm trying to fix it. We got new photo editing software! Although its only a trial I think I have convinced my dad to buy us the full version. Nothing is really going on but keep waiting and pray the rain stops! PLEASE!!

Its going to be part of the Surf Hero Chronicles, it features longboarding at the Cooroy Skatepark and some carving/freestyle at the Noosa River. It'll be called 'Last Chance' or 'Sea Monkeys'. One of the perks of being a follower of our blog is that you can view exclusive photos. Here are four from our new video, enjoy!

Logos

Whats up longboarders, if you haven't seen it already this is the Surf Skate Longboard logo.
We think its good, but a little plain. If any of you have any ideas for a better one, tell us in the comments. I talked to Eli Williams (from NYC Longboarding) and he said he would ask their tee shirt designer Sam Wadsworth.

Harry Turner Pre-Grab

This photo features the awesomeness of Harry Turner, local skater and longboarder of Cooroy (Surf Skate Longboard's home base).

This is What its All About

This video has a special place in my heart because this is the video that got me into longboarding. The day i met Harry Turner and Joe Girvan Harry told me about Original Skateboards. That night I watched this video and found myself buying a hybrid the next week.

NYC Longboarding

Whats up longboarders, I was checking out some blogs today and I found the NYC longboarding blog. NYC Longboarding is all about the surf style and spreading the Push Culture throughout New York City. As I read through the posts I began to think, ''Hey, these guys are doing the same as us!". So I contacted Eli Williams at NYC Longboarding and asked him about teaming up and making a video. He was stoked with the idea, so that will be happening in the future. But anyway, go check out their blog, its really cool and keep a lookout for a new video!

Help With a New Template

Here at Surf Skate Longboard we want to present our media to you in the best way possible, thats what this post is all about. When I made this blog i wanted to use a compilation of photos or an image as our background, but i wasn't that sure. For a better blog, please give us some tips on how to make a custom template.

Harry Turner at the Cooroy Skatepark

For these photos we followed Harry to his home park, in Cooory.
The series of photos shown here are few of many taken on this day,
these are the best. I have tried to capture every trick that the original
album had. These include boardslides, 50-50s, pre-grabs and
bonelesses.
Which one is best according to you?

Finley Wegener- Ramp Manual. Photo by Joeseph Girvan

Finley Wegeners ramp manual- I uploaded this photo because the lighting is perfect coming off my helmet and onto my blue shirt and jeans. Large credit to Joeseph Girvan, a budding photographer, for setting this shot up.
